Whole Body Cryotherapy

Step into our Cryosauna named “BIG BLU” and experience the benefits of Whole Body Cryotherapy. This single-person device envelopes a patient’s body while keeping your head and neck area exposed to room air above the device. The session only lasts about 2 to 3 minutes.

Your body is exposed to ultra-low temperatures (-200 to -240F) through the use of liquid nitrogen vapor. Your skin’s surface temperature is lowered by 30-50 degrees and activates the body’s natural fight-or-flight response. This cold sensation stimulates the skin’s receptors to constrict the blood vessels and rush blood back to the body’s core, where it is oxygenated and enriched.

How it works?

Your body is exposed to ultra-low temperatures (-200 to -240F) through the use of liquid nitrogen vapor. Your skin’s surface temperature is lowered by 30-50 degrees and activates the body’s natural fight-or-flight response. This cold sensation stimulates the skin’s receptors to constrict the blood vessels and rush blood back to the body’s core, where it is oxygenated and enriched.

Upon exiting the “BIG BLU,” your blood vessels will dilate and rush supercharged blood full of anti-inflammatory proteins, endorphins, and oxygen throughout your body. This process accelerates the rate of tissue repair and reduces inflammation while boosting the body’s metabolic rate resulting in a residual weight loss of 500-800 calories in the 5 hours post-session. Furthermore, the cold experienced in the Cryosauna affects only the skin temperature, 1/2 millimeter deep, and does not reduce the body’s internal temperature or freeze tissue.

Before entering the “BIG BLU,” clients are required to remove all jewelry. They will be given gloves, socks, slippers, and a robe to wear into the treatment room. Men are also required to wear underwear or shorts; all clothing worn must be dry.
